Slowjogging

  • A running pace where you can comfortably carry on a full conversation or sing a song.
  • An effort level on the Rate of Perceived Exertion Scale of 5, where 1 is no effort and 10 is all-out sprinting.
  • Heart rate in upper Zone 1 or in Zone 2, where Zone 1 is 50-60% of your max heart rate and Zone 2 is 60-70% of your max heart rate.

Once upon a time

I was running 3 kilometre at competions for my club (Atmodes) on track.  And I am so-not-competitive...however, the club needed a 3k runner and I had done once well on this distance so I was the one for this.

It was very hard for me, the training consisted of many kilometres a week and running 3km on track (11 rounds) on your facest pace is different than 100 m.

Oh how I envyed those who had 100m as their speciality.

However this midlong distance tgave good lessons. To persevere. Have a long breath.

For example this website is the product of a project of 24 years. Always kept going also after periods of not active for example because we had to move to another country, became a volunteer on a farm without my pc and internet...

I always came back dusted of and continued the track, for all of us. the good life. The good health. The good habits.

I started again with sports here and invented ´slow jogging´.

What it means for me is this: I get up in the morning early (5 AM or later or earlier), tonque scraping, detox drink, then put on my running shoes and start mving.

Luckeliy I live in the forrest so straigh away im in the ´z-one´.

Slow as I can (it is the same pace as a fast walker and it is like trotting what dogs do) I go. Just trotting for the fun of it. It is easy and I see it as the start warming the motor.

Then I arrive at the gate here I do few stretches and gratefull breathing and or I return home or go to town for the water and after I have for the cozy sit with my journal and water & electrolyes.
